If I was living in the USA, I'd probably be one of those people trying to get their hands on Amazon's Kindle e-reader. Its launch has often been described as the "iPod moment" for books, and it's certainly the case that Amazon haven't been able to produce the things fast enough. But while US residents who are interested in such things will be licking their lips at the prospect of the launch of the Kindle 2 later this month (slimmer, lighter, faster, greater capacity, clearer screen, no more expensive than the original Kindle) we haven't even seen the first one on this side of the Atlantic.
